CHILDRENS REWARD SYSTEM

Our rewards system for the children is to help encourage and give positive reinforcement. We believe that with positive reinforcement children thrive

CHILDRENS PLAY AREA

Our children’s play area is equipped with:

  • Chalk board
  • TV
  • Tables for drawing and
  • colouring

We find this area is a huge success for families as it is an area where children can either sit and do their homework, interact with others while they wait their turn or even where older children can wait if parents are in the pool with a sibling.

Either way children never seem to be entertained while waiting at Family Aquatics

PARENTS PLAY AREA

Our parents room is still up and coming but it is usable as is

Over the coming weeks and months our aim is to create an area where parents are able to sit and relax while they wait for their children.

What will the room offer:

  • Quiet zone
  • Comfortable couch
  • Swap and go library
  • Aircon for those hot days
  • Informative posters and
  • booklets about swimming

About Me

Hi Everyone

My name is Courtney

I recently became a Learn to Swim instructor in April last year 2023 with Family Aquatics. After signing my daughter up to swimming lessons, each week at her lesson, I took on board all instruction and knowledge on how to help her improve. This caught Lorna’s eye and asked if I thought about becoming an instructor as she thought I had the potential to help others like she helped me.

I used to work in childcare for many years before I had my daughter and I thoroughly enjoy working and giving the gift of education to children and watching them thrive in different areas of life.

I am both Teacher and Water Safety and Infant and preschooler qualified. Although I teach both areas, and since then i feel like my calling is our Babies through to Toddlers as I feel like I have helped to kick start their swimming journey in the right direction and given them the correct tools and knowledge so they can further their journey.

FUN FACT ABOUT ME: I am a fully qualified hairdresser and my partner and I own a lawn mowing business ‘Grow, Mow, Go’.

About Me

My name is Ryan and I am the assistant manager at Family Aquatics.

I am a fully qualified swimming coach through Swim Australia and I have been teaching and coaching Swimming since 1994.

I look forward to meeting you helping all of your children reach their swimming goals.

FUN FACT ABOUT ME: Swimming has given me the opportunity to travel all over the world.

About Me

Hi everyone my name is Kay

I am the owner of Family Aquatics Swim School.

When we lived in England I used to thoroughly enjoyed devoting my time taking Lorna across the country attending many Competitive Swim Meets.

When Lorna fell pregnant in 2016, this is when I had the idea of opening up a Swim School as a small side hustle as I want to offer other parents a place to start their children’s Swimming Journey and enjoy it as much as I did.

It took a few years to work out the ins and outs of opening my own business but back in 2020 Lorna and I final made it and opened Family Aquatics.

If you see me around please come and say hi

FUN FACT ABOUT ME: I used to be a fully qualified nurse and midwife for 42 years. Before I retired in 2021 I was running the mothers department in a major hospital.
